6 Fishing Days with Esquel Outfitters
4 Days Floating, 2 Days of Walk/Wading

Day 1 - Arrive to Bariloche, where you will be met by your Esquel Outfitters guides. From here you will be driven south to the town of Cholila, and Hosteria El Trebol. This lodge will be your base for fishing the waters of Los Alerces National Park. You will have dinner and drinks in the Hosteria the first night.

Day 2 - On the first day of fishing the group will split, and part of them will go to the Rio Rivadavia, in the heart of Los Alerces National Park to float the entire river. Another part of the group will go to the Rio Carrileufu, where they will float either the upper or lower section of the river. At the end of the day everyone will return to Hosteria El Trebol.

Day 3 - The second day of fishing will be the same as the first, only each person will be rotated to experience one of the rivers they did not fish on the first day. Again, all anglers will return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 4 - You will drive one and a half hours to Arroyo Pescado, located on the high desert plateau of the Argentina step. You will have exclusive accesss to all of the Spring Creek for the day. The group will be the only anglers at the creek, thus making it exclusive. After fishing you will return to Estancia La Elvira Lodge, where you will stay for the next couple nights.

Day 5 - Wade fish a section of the Rio Gualjaina. The 60,000 acre Estancia La Elvira has sixteen miles of the Gualjaina for your fishing pleasure. It is a smaller river ideal for wading. Terrestrials bring rainbows at most every bend and larger brown trout lurk in the deeper holes.

Day 6 - In the morning you will drive one and a half hours to either Hotel Cumbres Blancas located near the Rio Grande. You will then float the entire day, returning to the lodging in the evening for cocktails and dinner.

Day 7 - Again you will float the Rio Grande, fishing to the many browns in the only tailwater in the region, and one of only 2 tailwaters in all of Patagonia. Again, you will return to the lodge for cocktails and meals.

Day 8 - The group will be transferred to Bariloche this day, where you will catch your flight to BA, where you can enjoy a lively Saturday night in the city.



6 Fishing Days Esquel Outfitters - 3 in Nat'l Park, 3 in Esquel

Day 1 - Arrive to Bariloche, where you will be met by your Esquel Outfitters guides. From here you will be driven south to the town of Cholila, and Hosteria El Trebol. This lodge will be your base for fishing the waters of Los Alerces National Park. You will have dinner and drinks in the Hosteria the first night.

Day 2 - On the first day of fishing the group will split, and part of them will go to the Rio Rivadavia, in the heart of Los Alerces National Park to float the entire river. Another part of the group will go to the Rio Carrileufu, where they will float either the upper or lower section of the river. 2 other anglers will go to the Rio Frey, which lies deep within the park, and requires a lake crossing to reach the river. At the end of the day everyone will return to Hosteria El Trebol.

Day 3 - The second day of fishing will be the same as the first, only each person will be rotated to experience one of the rivers they did not fish on the first day. Again, all anglers will return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 4 - The third and final day of fishing in the National Park, will be more of the same, with each person choosing to return to the water of their preference. This will be the final evening at El Trebol for the group.

Day 5 - You will drive one and a half hours to Arroyo Pescado, located on the high desert plateau of the Argentina step. You will have exclusive accesss to all of the Spring Creek for the day. The group will be the only anglers at the creek, thus making it exclusive. After fishing you will return to La Patagonia Lodge, where you will stay for the remainder of your trip.

Day 6 - A 15 minute drive from the lodge is the access to float either of 2 sections of the Rio Grande (Rio Futaleufu) in Argentina. The group will split into half, and each half will float a section of the river.

Day 7 - At the end of the day, you will return to La Patagonia Lodge.

Day 8 - The group will be transferred to Bariloche to either fly to BA, or move to another destination.




7 Days Rio Pico and Estancia La Elvira

Day 1 - Catch your flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival you will be met by a guide who will drive you three hours to Estancia La Elvira. Here you will have dinner and the opportunity to prepare for the following days of fishing.

Day 2 - Wade fish a section of the Rio Gualjaina. The 60,000 acre Estancia La Elvira has sixteen miles of the Rio Gualjaina for your fishing pleasure. It is a smaller river ideal for wading. Terrestrials bring rainbows at most every bend and larger brown trout lurk in the deeper holes.

Day 3 - Fifteen minutes from La Elvira is the world class spring creek Arroyo Pescado where you will spend your day stalking trout. You will return to La Elvira that evening.

Day 4 - This day of fishing will find you on a different section of the charming Rio Gualjaina and spending a final night at La Elvira.

Day 5 - After a hearty breakfast, you will fish another another section of the Rio Gualjaina. Afterwards you will be transferred 3 hours south to the Rio Pico region. Here you will stay at the Rio Pico cabanas and prepare for the next three days of fishing.

Day 6 - Wade fish the Rio Pico. The Pico is a smaller, willow choked river that harbors rainbows and some very large browns. It can be a difficult fishery at times but it rewards the patient angler. Overnight at the Rio Pico cabanas.

Day 7 - Fish Lago Tres. Lago Tres is a great lake fishery that provides the opportunity to catch some truly large trout. Overnight at the Rio Pico Cabanas.

Day 8 - Wade fish the Rio Pico or perhaps the Rio Las Pampas depending on conditions and what you’d like to fish. After fishing head North to Esquel to spend your final night in Patagonia.

Day 9 - A 3 hour transfer back to Bariloche where you will have lunch before catching your flight back to Buenos Aires.




7 Days Fishing with Esquel Outfitters

Day 1 - Morning arrival in Buenos Aires. You will be met by one of our representatives at the airport who will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day exploring this beautiful cosmopolitan city or simply relaxing.

Day 2 - Our representative will transfer you to the domestic airport for your flight to Bariloche. At the airport in Bariloche your guide will meet you and then drive you two and a half hours south to Lodge El Trebol in Choilla where you will be well fed and have the opportunity to prepare for the next seven days of fishing.

Day 3 - Float one of the most beautiful rivers anywhere, Rio Rivadavia. While floating the Rivadavia, which flows through Los Alerces national park, you will have the opportunity to wade fish two spring creeks that flow into the river. Return to El Trebol for dinner and lodging.

Day 4 - Begin your 4 day float on the Rio Chubut where you will cover over sixty miles of private water one of the premier dry fly fisheries in the region. Each day you will catch Rainbows until your arm is sore and each night you will camp in style. Large tents with cots, warm showers, along with fine wines and wonderful cuisine makes this floating camp trip a comfortable and memorable experience.

Day 5 - Second day of your Chubut float. Continue fishing dries for eager rainbows throughout the day and in the evenings you will eat well and relax around the campfire as you camp in style.

Day 6 - Third day of your Chubut float. Continue fishing dries for eager rainbows throughout the day and in the evenings you will eat well and relax around the campfire as you camp in style.

Day 7 - Final day of your Chubut float. Once you reach the end of your float you will take the hour and a half drive to Estancia La Elvira where dinner will be waitng. This will be your home for the next 3 days.

Day 8 - Wade fish a section of the Rio Gualjaina. The 60,000 acre Estancia La Elvira has eighteen miles of the Gualjaina for your fishing pleasure. It is a smaller river ideal for wading. Terrestrials bring rainbows at most every bend and larger brown trout lurk in the deeper holes.

Day 9 - Fifteen minutes from La Elvira is the world class spring creek Arroyo Pescado where you will spend your day stalking trout. You will return to La Elvira that evening.

Day 10 - You will have a three hour drive back to Bariloche where you will have lunch before catching a flight to Buenos Aires.
