This river is what makes your Argentina trip different from all the rest...The section we float is exclusive to Esquel Ouftfitters, which means we have total control of fly fishing pressure all year long. This is your best chance in Argentina for that 50+ fish day you've been dreaming about and you'll have three or four days of hot action to get it done. The greatest concentration of rainbows is found on the first section, which is good because by day two the wrist on your casting hand will be sore enough to make you want to fish with your other hand! You could catch a monster brown, but for the most part you'll be catching healthy rainbows in the 16 to 18 inch range, with the occasional 22 incher. This action packed, 3-4 day float through exclusive water will catch your fancy in more ways than one.

The vistas, fish blisters, king fishers and parrot whistlers, the sunrises and sunsets, the smile one gets as one nets, a cigar, the milky way, campfire barbecues, a sip or two of wine, the serendipitous views- all things merged into one and a river actually does run through it! Your rafts will maneuver through the punji-sticked jungle, passing through four or five of these cool corridors throughout the day, ultimately floating up to a set up camp, complete with hot showers, a wonderful campfire dinner complete with salad, thick Herford steaks, potatoes, pan-fried onions, and dessert, all which you can wash down with a bottle or two of vino tinto. After a few rounds of drinks and funny campfire stories you will retire to your cots, with thermarests and pillows; images of jumping trout as the sound of the river puts you to sleep.

Many of our clients believe this may be the best river in the world for numbers of fish and solitude.
